Job summary

Centerline Logistics is seeking a Tank Barge PIC to safely transfer petroleum products between barges, ships, and facilities. Responsibilities include monitoring tank levels, operating cargo pumps and valves, and completing gauge reports.

You will communicate with foreign crews, assist with regulatory compliance, perform safety checks, and participate in onboard drills. A Coast Guard PIC endorsement and HAZWOPER training are required, along with TWIC and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Experience as a tank barge PIC on oil barges is required.
• Must hold Coast Guard Merchant Mariners Document with PIC endorsement.
• Valid TWIC and HAZWOPER training within 30 days of hire.
• Valid first aid/CPR certificate.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand English on calls and radios.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills; able to work long hours.

Responsibilities

• Monitor tank levels and operate cargo pumps and valves.
• Communicate with foreign crews and facility personnel.
• Complete loading and discharge gauge reports and paperwork.
• Inspect vessel for Coast Guard and state regulatory compliance.
• Perform safety procedures using PPE and monitoring equipment.
• Attend onboard drills and respond to emergencies.
