Job summary

Centerline Logistics is seeking a highly skilled tank barge PIC to ensure safe transfer of petroleum products between barges, ships, and facilities. The role requires valid PIC Endorsement, USCG MMC, and Tankerman PIC credentials, with CPR/First Aid and HAZWOPER trainings current.

You will monitor tanks, operate engines and pumps, secure lines, complete gauge reports, and maintain vessel safety while coordinating with crews and plant personnel.

Qualifications

• Must have prior tank barge PIC experience and a valid PIC Endorsement.
• USCG Merchant Mariner Credential with Tankerman PIC endorsement required.
• CPR/First Aid/AED training and certificate required.
• HAZWOPER 24 Hour training current.
• Must hold a valid state driver’s license.
• Ability to respond quickly to emergencies and remain calm.
• Read, speak, and understand English over telephone/radio.

Responsibilities

• Monitor tank levels, operate diesel engines, pumps, valves and booms.
• Load 55 gallon drums and secure barge lines.
• Maintain vessel and perform housekeeping for safety.
• Complete gauge reports and logs.
• Inspect vessel for Coast Guard compliance and safety.
• Communicate with crews and facility personnel.
• Respond to emergencies and follow safety procedures.
