John W. Stone Oil Distributor, LLC is seeking a Tankerman to operate on onboard company vessels. The role requires serving as PIC, performing cargo transfers, inspecting barges, handling hoses, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance during operations.

The position involves 14 days on / 7 days off, home port in Galveston and/or Channelview, TX, with work aboard vessels for extended periods in close quarters. A MMC PIC and TWIC are required along with basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
• Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC) with Tankerman-PIC Endorsement and Dangerous Liquids Endorsement.
• Basic Computer Skills.

Responsabilités

• Serve as Person in Charge (PIC).
• Perform liquid cargo transfer operations safely and efficiently.
• Inspect the barge prior to transfers and connect/disconnect hoses.
• Monitor cargo flow and turbidity during transfers.
• Complete paperwork including the Declaration of Inspection (DOI).
• Live and work in close quarters onboard vessels for weeks at a time.
