Job summary

Pennsylvania Transformer Technology, LLC is seeking a Welder/Fitter to join our shop team. The role involves applying welds per AWS D1.1 and PTTI weldment standards, laying out and fabricating materials from drawings, and performing minor repairs to equipment.

You will layout tanks, covers, and conservator parts using engineered drawings and verbal instructions. Candidates must pass welding tests, have a GED or high school diploma, and be able to work steady 2nd shift.

Qualifications

• GED or High School diploma or equivalent.
• Welding tests required.

Responsibilities

• Apply welds per AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code – Steel and/or PTTI weldment standards and WPS.
• Layout and fabricate materials according to engineered drawings and work instructions.
• Do minor repairs to welding and burning equipment.
• Layout tanks and components from drawings; hand burn and grind; shoot studs.
• Check work per drawings and move materials as needed.
• Keep work area clean, safe, and organized.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by supervisors.
