Job summary

Phillips Tank & Structure is seeking a full-time Tank Builder / Welder (Pennsylvania Local) to join our nationwide tank construction team. You will perform arc and torch cutting, welding, and assembly of above-ground tanks, following drawings and safety procedures.

You’ll work with power tools and lifting equipment, read fabrication drawings, and contribute to quality tests and on-site safety trainings. A valid driver’s license and U.S. work eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn.
• At least 18 years old and able to lift 50 lbs.
• High school diploma or equivalent; US work eligibility.
• Background check, driving record checks, and pre/post-hire drug testing may be required.
• Ability to weld is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform arc and torch cutting and gouging.
• Operate generators, compressors, tuggers, blowers, grinders, and other power tools.
• Weld plate using SMAW, FCAW, and submerged arc processes.
• Use lifting gear including come-alongs, jacks, hoists, air bags, winches.
• Work with tank shell buggies, scaffolding, ladders, and related equipment.
• Read erection and fabrication drawings and plan welding, fitting, and construction of tanks.
• Complete safety analyses, site trainings, and follow safety protocols.
• Collaborate with crew members to complete projects.
