Job summary

Depot Connect International (DCI) is seeking a Trailer Mechanic in Billings, MT to diagnose failures and repair mechanical and electrical systems on tank trailers. The role is based at our Billings, MT location and requires proficiency with tank service, suspension work and DOT HM183 compliance.

Shift is Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Pay ranges from $21 to $38 per hour, with skill-based reviews and potential increases every 6 months. Welding (TIG) experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Diagnose failures and perform repairs on mechanical, electrical or other systems on a tank trailer.
• Tank service and repair experience.
• Trailer suspension installation and repair.
• Experience with air brake systems and repairs.
• TIG welding experience (optional).

Shift Hours:

Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

This position is for our Billings, MT branch at 1635 North Frontage Road.

Pay Range:

$21.00 to $38.00 per hour, dependent on experience. Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.

Demonstrated Skill In Most Of The Following Areas

• The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer.
• Tank service and repair
• Trailer suspension installation and repair
• Experience with air brake systems and repairs
• TIG aluminum, stainless or carbon welding experience (optional)
• Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat)

Physical Demands

• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• With assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
• Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole
• Must be able to work in confined spaces
