Job summary

PROtect LLC in Houston, TX seeks an experienced NDT Technician to perform inspections on structures, pipelines, and components using x-ray, ultrasound, and related methods. You will follow codes and procedures, calibrate equipment, identify defects, and document findings while ensuring crew safety.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and NDT certifications (RT, UT, MT, PT; MFL and Vacuum Box preferred). Occasional travel and long hours may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license and insurability.
• Certification in RT, UT, MT, PT; MFL and Vacuum Box preferred.
• TWIC card preferred.
• Demonstrated NDT skill and experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform NDT testing per codes, standards, and procedures.
• Apply gamma, x-ray, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, ultrasonic, leak, and visual methods.
• Load, calibrate, and operate NDT equipment.
• Identify defects using appropriate techniques.
• Document work orders and results accurately.
• Drive company vehicles and maintain safe driving record.
• Instruct assistants and ensure team safety.
