Job summary
Univar Solutions in Colorado is seeking a Materials Handler to operate tank farm facilities and support orderly shipping/receiving of bulk chemicals. You will maintain equipment and assist with stock control while ensuring compliance with labeling and shipping laws.
Responsibilities include inspecting and maintaining warehouse facilities, handling hazardous waste paperwork, and ensuring safety protocols. This role offers strong growth in a global chemical distributor.
Qualifications
- Operate forklift per procedures and regulations.
- Knowledge of cGMP requirements as related to FDARP.
- Use and maintain respiratory protection equipment.
- Learn proper methods for handling hazardous materials with training.
- Lift at least 100 pounds and stand/walk long periods.
- Test negative on the company's drug tests.
Responsibilities
- Ship and receive bulk chemicals in the tank farm accurately.
- Fill, pack, and ship customer orders promptly.
- Ensure compliance with labeling and shipping laws.
- Inspect equipment and maintain warehouse stock and cleanliness.
- Inspect fire control system monthly and report issues.
- Prepare monthly lists of empty/uns usable materials.
- Coordinate with warehouse sections as needed.
- Complete inspections and paperwork for hazardous waste.
- Escalate tank farm issues to Warehouse/Operations Manager.
