Job summary

Univar Solutions USA Inc. is seeking a Material Handler to support tank farm operations in Toledo, OH. You will ship and receive bulk chemicals, ensure accurate filling, packing, and shipping of orders, and maintain compliance with labeling and shipping laws.

The role requires operating a terminal tractor and forklift, knowledge of cGMP, and ability to handle hazardous materials. You will perform routine equipment inspections and keep warehouse areas clean and safe while supporting monthly stock

Qualifications

• Ability to operate a terminal tractor and forklift per procedures.
• Knowledge of cGMP requirements applicable to the facility.
• Ability to use respiratory protection equipment.
• Learn proper handling of hazardous materials and wastes with training.
• Physical ability to lift 100 pounds and stand/walk for long periods.
• Must test negative on the company’s drug tests.
• Safety-conscious with exposure to fumes, dirt, noise, and chemicals.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse areas.

Responsibilities

• Operate tank farm facilities efficiently.
• Ship and receive bulk chemicals and fill, pack, and ship orders.
• Ensure compliance with labeling and shipping laws and regulations.
• Inspect tank farm equipment and maintain operations.
• Maintain and protect warehouse stocks, supplies, and equipment.
• Perform monthly inspection of plant fire control system.
• Manage stock levels and keep aisles clean and clear.
• Prepare monthly list of empty/repair/obsolete materials for Warehouse Manager.
• Coordinate with other warehouse sections as needed.
• Complete inspections and paperwork for hazardous waste generation and transport.
• Escalate issues to Warehouse or Operations Manager.
