Job summary

Phillips Tank & Structure (PTS) is seeking a full-time Foreman/Tank Builder to lead field crews on site nationwide. You will supervise projects, coordinate with customers, vendors and subcontractors, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

As a senior on the crew, you’ll apply welding and structural skills, monitor progress, review field labor, and help recruit and train team members while maintaining equipment and paperwork.

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Eligible to work in the United States.

• Willing to pass drug and alcohol testing.
• Welding ability is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and MV driving record checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide site supervision and lead on PTS construction projects.
• Serve as point of contact with customers, vendors and subcontractors.
• Maintain safety, quality and productivity.
• Understand contract scope and identify field changes (change orders).
• Provide leadership to foster safety culture on the jobsite.
• Provide leadership to ensure quality and reduce rework on site.
• Improve field productivity and keep projects on time and budget.
• Balance customer satisfaction with profitability of the project.
• Share craft knowledge across welding, structural erection, tank repair, and new tank construction.
• Support recruitment and training of field workers.
• Manage care of tooling and equipment; call off rent when unused.
• Identify opportunities to improve company practices and resources.
• Represent PTS professionally to customers and employees.
• Contribute to pre-construction planning.
• Communicate with support staff and track progress weekly.
• Ensure training and certifications for upcoming or ongoing work.
• Complete daily time sheets, safety and quality audits, and required paperwork.
• Provide final project paperwork to Design Group for Final QC Book.
