Job summary

Phillips Tank & Structure (PTS) is seeking a full-time Tank Builder / Welder to join our nationwide team. Our headquarters are in Braddock, PA, with branch offices nationwide, and we specialize in above-ground metal tanks and related structures.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and organization skills required.
• Ability to solve problems and suggest improvements to systems.
• Excellent attendance and punctuality required.
• Willingness to learn and adapt.
• Must be 18 years or older and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Welding ability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform arc and torch cutting and gouging.
• Operate generators, compressors, tuggers, blowers, grinders, and other tools.
• Weld tanks with 7018, 7024, 6010 SMAW, FCAW, and submerged arc processes.
• Use lifting equipment such as come-alongs, hydraulic jacks, hoists, air bags, and winches.
• Utilize tank shell buggies, scaffolding, ladders, and specialty equipment.
• Conduct non-destructive testing such as vacuum box, oil, and dye penetrant tests.
• Follow safety procedures, use gas monitors and safety gear, and complete job safety analyses.
• Work with crew members to complete projects safely and efficiently.
