Job summary

Phillips Tank & Structure (PTS) is seeking a full-time Tank Builder/Welder to join our nationwide team. You will contribute to building, repairing, and inspecting above-ground storage tanks and related structures across multiple sites.

The role requires strong communication, reliability, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. Candidates must be at least 18, eligible to work in the United States, and able to pass background checks and drug testing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be at least 18 years old and eligible to work in the United States.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and maintain good attendance.
• Background checks and pre-hire drug testing may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform arc and torch cutting and gouging.
• Operate power and air tools as needed.
• Weld using 7018, 7024, 6010 (SMAW), FCAW, and submerged arc processes.
• Use lifting gear and scaffolding safely.
• Read erection and fabrication drawings and plan welding sequences.
• Complete safety training and follow site protocols.
• Collaborate with crew members to complete tank projects.
