Job summary

Phillips Tank & Structure (PTS) is hiring a full-time Tank Builder / Welder to support nationwide projects. The role requires welding across multiple methods and safe handling of heavy equipment, with opportunities to advance as projects grow.

Strong communication, dependable attendance, and a readiness to learn are essential. Applicants must be 18+, capable of lifting 50 lbs, and eligible to work in the United States. This position offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform arc and torch cutting and gouging.
• Operate generators, compressors, tuggers, blowers, grinders, and power tools.
• Weld plate with 7018, 7024 and 6010 SMAW, FCAW, and submerged arc methods.
• Use lifting equipment and tank scaffolding.
• Read detailed erection and fabrication drawings and plan welding sequences.
• Complete safety analyses and site-specific training.
• Follow directions and collaborate with crew members.
• Other duties as assigned.
