Job summary

Phillips Tank & Structure (PTS) is seeking a full-time Tank Builder / Welder to join our nationwide team. The role requires performing welding, cutting, and assembly of above-ground metal tanks and related structures, following detailed drawings and safety protocols.

You will operate a range of power tools and lifting equipment while maintaining quality and on-time delivery. The ideal candidate has strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, is at least 18, and can lift 50

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to solve problems and suggest improvements to our systems.
• Willingness to learn and show up on time every day.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to lift 50 lbs.
• High school diploma or equivalent; eligible to work in the United States.
• Willing to undergo background checks, motor vehicle record checks, and drug testing.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Welding ability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform arc and torch cutting and gouging.
• Weld with 7018, 7024 and 6010 SMAW; FCAW; submerged arc processes.
• Operate generators, compressors, tuggers, grinders and other power/air tools.
• Use tank shell buggies, scaffolding, ladders and other equipment.
• Read erection and fabrication drawings and plan welding sequences.
• Conduct safety trainings, inspections and QA tests.
• Collaborate with crew and follow directions on site.
