Job summary

City Research Scientist position within NYC Department of Citywide Administrative Services focuses on energy management analytics and reporting. You will build dashboards, ensure data integrity, and support policy development across city agencies.

Required advanced degrees in physical, biological, environmental or public health sciences, plus research or supervisory experience; probationary period applies. Residency rules may apply.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in physical, biological or environmental science or public health.
• Doctorate in an appropriate field plus required experience in research or supervision.
• Two years as City Research Scientist Level I may substitute for experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop new reporting and analytics solutions for DEM data collection, maintenance, reporting, and sharing.
• Maintain data QA protocols and standard operating procedures.
• Develop visualizations and dashboards using Power BI.
• Make recommendations on policies and procedures.
• Assist with internal communications and other assignments as needed.
