Job summary

Modal builds infrastructure that lets engineers run AI workloads. As our first Talent Coordinator, you’ll own interview coordination, candidate communication, and the operational backbone enabling recruiters and hiring managers to do their best work.

You’ll partner with the Head of Talent and interviewers to shape scalable hiring processes. You’ll champion a thoughtful candidate experience, manage complex calendars, and maintain ATS accuracy in Ashby, while contributing to process improvements

Responsibilities

• Own interview coordination across multiple roles and time zones.
• Coordinate phone, video, and in-person interviews and manage calendars.
• Serve as primary point of contact for candidates and ensure they feel informed and supported.
• Maintain accuracy in the ATS (Ashby) including job setup, interview plans, and candidate tracking.
• Become fluent in Ashby and assist recruiters and hiring partners.
• Prepare interviewers with context, materials, and logistics for effective interviews.
• Identify friction in the hiring process and suggest improvements.
• Collaborate with the talent team on referrals, interview training, and process iteration.
• Bring equity and fairness to hiring operations.
