Job summary

James Avery Artisan Jewelry is seeking an HR Specialist to foster strong associate relations, support site management, and drive HR initiatives across talent management, organizational development, recruitment, training, total rewards and associate relations.

The role partners with HR departments and division leaders to ensure policy compliance, effective onboarding, and successful implementation of change initiatives across locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• 2 years’ experience in human resources or similar work.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build strong and trustworthy relationships at all levels.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and drive HR initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to guide organizational change from conception through implementation to adoption.
• Business acumen and understanding of organizational dynamics.
• Ability to proactively solve problems and apply innovative solutions.
• Ability to travel to various work locations as business need requires.
• Must be able to met conflicting employment guidelines.
• Maintain human resource information systems and keep personnel records up to date.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR contact for Associates, addressing concerns and ensuring policy compliance.
• Assist managers with performance evaluations, disciplinary actions and improvement plans.
• Conduct policy and associate investigations and document facts.
• Support talent review processes and succession planning initiatives.
• Coordinate training needs and leadership development activities.
• Collaborate on onboarding to ensure smooth transitions for associates.
• Ensure HR practices comply with laws and company values.
• Partner with Recruiting to support hiring and plans.
