Job summary

Jamesavery is seeking an HR Specialist to foster strong associate relations, support site management, and drive HR initiatives across talent management, organizational development, recruitment, training, total rewards, and associate relations.

You will partner with HR and division leaders to deliver comprehensive HR services, ensure policy compliance, and support change initiatives critical to our business growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent combo of education/experience.
• 2 years’ experience in human resources or similar work.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and drive HR initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to guide organizational change from conception through implementation to adoption.
• Business acumen and understanding of organizational dynamics.
• Ability to proactively solve problems and apply innovative solutions.
• Ability to travel to various work locations as business need requires.
• Must be able to meet conflicting employment guidelines.
• Maintain HRIS and keep personnel records up to date.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR contact for Associates, addressing concerns, resolving conflicts and ensuring policy compliance.
• Assist managers with performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and improvement plans.
• Conduct policy or Associate concern investigations by documenting facts and interviewing; escalate as needed.
• Support talent review processes and succession planning to drive growth.
• Coordinate training needs and facilitate leadership development in collaboration with L&D.
• Collaborate on onboarding to ensure a seamless transition for Associates.
• Ensure HR practices adhere to labor laws and company policies.
• Partner with Recruiting to participate in hiring and monitor plan progress.
• Align Total Rewards program delivery with Associate needs.
• Work with leadership on accurate, timely cross-functional communications.
• Support other HR projects and initiatives as needed.
• Execute change management strategies to ensure adoption.
