Job summary

James Avery Artisan Jewelry seeks a Director, HR Business Partner – Retail to lead strategic HR across operating sites and market locations. You will guide staffing, performance management, associate relations, and HR initiatives at a site or market level.

Based in Austin area with travel to manufacturing sites and markets, you will influence leadership and culture while driving workforce effectiveness and program rollout.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Business Administration, HR or related field.
• 8 years’ related experience across HR disciplines (employee relations, org effectiveness, talent acquisition, performance management).
• 5 years’ leadership experience in HR leadership roles.
• Strong customer orientation with ability to influence senior/mid-level leaders.
• Ability to drive multiple complex projects with agility to business needs.
• Experience leading organizational transformation across locations/regions.
• Knowledge of US employment laws and regulatory landscape.
• Financial acumen to interpret data for decision making.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: drive workforce strategies and organizational changes aligned to business needs.
• Business Partnership: collaborate with senior leaders to deliver HR solutions across sites.
• Data-Driven Insights: use workforce analytics to identify trends and intervene.
• Associate and Leader Engagement: travel to sites/markets to build alignment.
• People and HR Program Advocacy: design and rollout HR programs with minimal disruption.
• Associate Relations: guide leadership on associate relations and performance management.
• Talent Acquisition and Development: assess talent needs and support onboarding.
• HR Service Delivery: partner with HR Shared Services to ensure services meet goals.
