Job summary

Gong is seeking an automation-focused Talent Acquisition Engineer to build the engine behind recruitment workflows. You will connect Workday, Greenhouse, Gem and BrightHire, creating a centralized talent data repository with secure access.

You will design intelligent automations and tooling that help recruiters and hiring managers see real-time pipeline status and move faster. This role emphasizes building integration-heavy solutions, evaluating in-house tooling versus external solutions, and

Qualifications

• Experience building solutions that integrate with external systems via APIs and tooling.
• Strong scripting/backend skills in Python or TypeScript/Node.
• Proficiency in SQL for joining and querying data across systems.
• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs and tool/calling patterns.
• Designing secure access and permissions for data / tooling.
• Ability to design and analyze structured experiments (A/B or multivariate).

Responsibilities

• Unify systems and make them useful by connecting Workday, Greenhouse, Gem and BrightHire.
• Build a governed talent data repository with proper data definitions and permissions.
• Create agentic solutions across the hiring lifecycle: reporting, bottlenecks, pipeline insights, and candidate matching.
• Lead build-vs-buy evaluations and partner with IT and People Analytics teams.
• Own outbound sourcing optimization and implement experiments to improve conversion rates and benchmarks.
• Work with central teams to own the talent-data slice within the governance model.
