Wwshemi is building AI-powered recruiting tools for startups in San Francisco. You will oversee autonomous recruiting workflows, stepping in when human judgment is needed and helping shape how people and AI collaborate across candidate pipelines.

You will monitor AI conversations, handle high-stakes candidate discussions, and ensure quality by labeling outputs and reviewing agent responses. This role blends people workflow with product in a startup setting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in talent operations, recruiting, or sourcing at an early-stage tech startup.
• Hands-on with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) to evaluate output quality and limitations.
• Experience closing placements and negotiating offers with late-stage candidates.
• Able to use KPIs, dashboards, and A/B tests to inform decisions.
• Experience labeling AI outputs to improve performance.
• Comfort collaborating with product, engineering, and leadership in a startup.

About the Role

Join a small team building AI-powered recruiting tools for startups. You will oversee autonomous recruiting workflows, step in when human judgment is needed, and help shape how people and AI work together across candidate pipelines.

What You'll Do

• Monitor candidate conversations handled by AI agents, identify errors, and intervene when needed.
• Handle high-judgment conversations with senior candidates, including objections and compensation negotiations.
• Review and label agent responses, providing examples and feedback to improve performance.
• Audit candidate matches, outreach quality, and pipeline conversion using recruiting metrics.
• Guide candidates through final stages, manage offers, and help close placements.
• Document effective workflows, create standard operating procedures, and build operational playbooks.

What We're Looking For

• At least 2 years of talent operations, recruiting, or sourcing experience at an early-stage technology startup.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT or similar to evaluate output quality, identify errors, and understand limitations.
• Experience closing placements, handling late-stage candidate conversations, negotiating offers, and responding to objections.
• Ability to use recruiting KPIs, dashboards, A/B tests, and conversion analysis to inform decisions.
• Experience labeling outputs or providing feedback to improve AI, machine learning, or agent performance.
• Comfort collaborating with product, engineering, and leadership teams in a startup environment.
• Familiarity with tools or technologies such as TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, React, Node.js, PostgreSQL, or Supabase is helpful.

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive base pay and uncapped performance-based compensation tied to placements. Performance-based equity may be available after a successful 90-day performance period. Health insurance and visa sponsorship are available.

Location

Hybrid in San Francisco, California, with an optional workspace in San Francisco.
