Job summary

Sentara Healthcare in Virginia Beach, VA, is seeking a recruiter to support the full recruitment strategy onsite. You will partner with hiring managers and HR business partners to anticipate hiring needs, source candidates, and build a diverse talent pool.

The role requires HS diploma or GED with 2 years HR experience and a bachelor’s degree, or 4 years’ equivalent with HS; recruitment experience is strongly preferred.

This onsite role in Virginia Beach, VA supports the full recruitment strategy, with opportunities to partner closely with hiring managers and HR business partners to anticipate hiring needs and proactively source candidates.

Compensation: The base pay range for full-time employment is $68,598.40 - $103,396.80 annually. Additional compensation may be available, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Pay within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs. The posted annual salary assumes 2,080 hours annually.

What you will do

• Partner with hiring managers and HR business partners to understand and anticipate hiring needs, and identify recruiting solutions to meet those needs.
• Manage recruitment for open positions within assigned business units, using proactive sourcing approaches to identify and tap into new sourcing resources and recruit diverse, high-value candidates.
• Provide both tactical and strategic sourcing support to help business units proactively source and place top talent.
• Execute and facilitate the recruitment strategy, including screening, interviewing, and testing, while serving as a strategic partner to hiring managers.
• Support workforce planning by projecting future employment needs, creating recruitment plans, and improving the employment process.
• May lead projects and maintain effectiveness while managing a high load of positions, including a variety of roles and/or roles that are hard to fill in areas of greatest need.

What you will bring

• HS Diploma/GED required
• Two years of Human Resources experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, or four years of equivalent experience with a High School Diploma or GED
• Recruitment experience strongly preferred
• Previous Recruitment experience in Corporate, Health Plans, or Healthcare strongly preferred
• Candidates in the Hampton Roads geographic footprint (within 50 miles of 1330 Sentara Park, Virginia Beach) strongly preferred to attend recruitment events
• Experience organizing and hosting virtual and in-person recruitment events, with ability to travel to events
• Experience building a Talent Pool and using CRM tools to build a talent pipeline
