Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join a growing team supporting a biotechnology client in Silver Spring, MD. The role partners with hiring managers to attract top talent and ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.

This position offers hybrid work 2-3 days per week in office and manages full-cycle recruitment for life sciences and corporate functions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in HR, Recruiting, Talent Acquisition, or related field.
• Must have hands-on recruiting experience.
• Life science/clinical research recruiting experience preferred, not required.
• Experience working with ATS.

Responsibilities

• Support full-cycle recruitment activities for entry-level to mid-level positions within life sciences, quality, manufacturing, clinical, regulatory, and corporate functions.
• Source and screen candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, referrals, networking events, and university partnerships.
• Conduct initial phone screenings to evaluate qualifications, experience, and cultural fit.
• Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
• Maintain accurate candidate records within the ATS.
• Build and maintain talent pipelines for future hiring needs.
• Draft and post job advertisements across multiple platforms.
• Communicate regularly with candidates regarding status and next steps.
• Support offer preparation, background checks, and onboarding activities.

Compensation for the Corporate Recruiter:

• Salary: $60,000 - $85,000 annually, commensurate with experience
