Job description

Step into a pivotal recruitment role where your ability to engage top talent and influence hiring decisions will directly shape the future of a growing organisation. You'll join a team that values data-driven thinking, strong stakeholder partnerships, and innovative sourcing strategies to secure the best people in the market.

About the Role:

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will own the full recruitment lifecycle for direct hire positions across multiple functions, ensuring a seamless experience for both candidates and hiring managers. You will act as a strategic partner to the business, advising on talent market trends, optimising processes, and driving employer branding initiatives to attract high-calibre professionals. Your work will have a tangible impact on workforce quality, time-to-hire, and overall recruitment effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for direct hire roles, from intake meetings and job briefing through to offer negotiation and onboarding handover.
  • Build and execute targeted sourcing strategies using job boards, social media, networking, and talent pools to identify and engage high-quality candidates.
  • Screen resumes, conduct interviews and assessments, and present shortlists with clear candidate evaluations and recommendations.
  • Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, selection criteria, and interview processes, ensuring alignment and timely decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate and requisition data within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), ensuring compliance and reporting integrity.
  • Utilise recruitment analytics to track key metrics, identify bottlenecks, and recommend improvements to the hiring process.
  • Contribute to employer branding initiatives, including crafting compelling job adverts, candidate communications, and digital content that reflect the company's value proposition.
  • Conduct ongoing talent market research to inform sourcing strategies, salary benchmarks, and competitive positioning.
Key Requirements:
  • Proven experience in full-cycle recruitment for direct hire roles, ideally across multiple business functions or disciplines.
  • Strong candidate sourcing skills, including direct search, social recruiting, and talent pipelining.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and influence stakeholders, building effective relationships with hiring managers and HR partners.
  • Proficiency in using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) for requisition management, candidate tracking, and reporting.
  • Solid interviewing and assessment skills, with the ability to evaluate both technical capabilities and cultural fit.
  • Experience using data and recruitment metrics to guide decisions and improve process efficiency.
  • Clear, professional communication skills, with the ability to present candidate insights and market information to non-recruitment stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple requisitions and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Experience working in a hybrid environment, effectively balancing onsite collaboration with remote recruitment activities.
  • Background in employer branding projects, such as careers site content, social media campaigns, or talent marketing initiatives.
  • Familiarity with structured interview techniques and competency-based assessment frameworks.
  • Exposure to recruiting in specialised or hard-to-fill talent markets.
  • Experience with reporting tools or dashboards to visualise recruitment data and trends.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Professional certification in recruitment or HR (e.g. CIPD, SHRM, AIRS, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Ongoing professional development in talent acquisition, sourcing, or recruitment analytics is an advantage.

If you're a results-focused recruiter who thrives on building strong stakeholder relationships and finding the best talent in the market, this role offers the scope and autonomy to make a real impact.
