Job summary

SCS Engineers seeks a Talent Acquisition Sector Lead for Experienced Talent (Engineers & Scientists) in Long Beach, CA. This role blends strategy and hands-on recruiting, overseeing a TA team and partnering with hiring managers to attract top engineering and science talent.

You’ll drive pipelines, optimize processes, and lead initiatives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with hybrid work minimum two days in office weekly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of 8 years of recruiting experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of internal recruiting experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of management experience.
• Experience recruiting niche mid- and senior-level roles.
• Travel up to 10% may be required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Serve as recruiting lead and SME for experienced engineers and scientists.
• Develop and execute recruiting strategies aligned with workforce needs.
• Own full lifecycle recruiting for high‑priority roles.
• Build and maintain pipelines using sourcing tools, networks, and referrals.
• Partner with hiring managers to understand objectives and succession plans.
• Lead sector-specific recruiting programs and initiatives.
• Analyze metrics and market conditions to drive improvements.
• Mentor Talent Acquisition staff through training and coaching.
• Draft postings, offers, and negotiate salaries.
• Maintain ATS/CRM data integrity and reporting accuracy.
• Assist with onboarding and development of TA team members.
