Job summary

Powerus is expanding its Rock Hill facility and seeks a Talent Acquisition Lead, Manufacturing & Technology to drive rapid, high-volume recruitment across production and technical roles. This hands-on role focuses on building pipelines and partnering with leaders to forecast hiring needs in a growing, defense- and manufacturing-focused company.

You will recruit across manufacturing, engineering, software/autonomy and related areas, while shaping local sourcing strategies and the candidate

Qualifications

• 5+ years of in-house or agency recruiting experience, with manufacturing or technology hiring.
• Experience delivering high-volume recruitment in a growing organization.
• Experience launching or expanding a new facility strongly preferred.
• Ability to recruit both hourly manufacturing and skilled technical roles.
• Strong direct sourcing and passive candidate identification skills.
• Experience in automotive, aerospace, defense, robotics or advanced manufacturing environments.

Powerus develops and manufactures next-generation autonomous systems for defense, national security and critical infrastructure customers.

As we rapidly expand our manufacturing and technology operations in Rock Hill, we need to build exceptional teams across production, engineering, technology and supporting functions.

The Role

We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Lead, Manufacturing & Technology to drive high-volume hiring from our Rock Hill facility.

This is a hands-on recruiting role for someone who knows how to hire at speed and at scale. You will recruit across manufacturing and production while also building pipelines for engineers, technicians, software, autonomy, hardware and other critical talent.

We are particularly interested in someone who has supported a new facility launch, major manufacturing expansion or rapid workforce ramp and understands the pace required when hiring directly supports production.

What You'll Do

• Own full-cycle recruiting across the Rock Hill operation.
• Lead high-volume hiring across assembly, production, manufacturing and skilled trades.
• Recruit technical talent including manufacturing, mechanical, electrical and hardware engineers, technicians and software/autonomy professionals.
• Build proactive talent pipelines rather than relying solely on job applicants.
• Partner directly with Manufacturing and Technology leaders to forecast hiring requirements and workforce ramps.
• Develop local sourcing strategies across Rock Hill, Charlotte and the wider Carolinas manufacturing market.
• Build relationships with technical colleges, universities, veteran organizations and relevant workforce partners.
• Run hiring events, career fairs and high-volume recruitment campaigns.
• Source and engage passive candidates from automotive, aerospace, defense and advanced manufacturing employers.
• Manage candidates from initial engagement through interview, offer and acceptance.
• Maintain strong ATS discipline and accurate recruiting data.
• Track hiring velocity, time-to-fill, source effectiveness, offer acceptance and quality of hire.
• Help continually improve the Powerus candidate experience and employer brand.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of in-house or agency recruiting experience, with significant exposure to manufacturing, engineering or technology hiring.
• Demonstrated experience delivering high-volume recruitment in a rapidly growing organization.
• Experience supporting a new facility, plant expansion or significant workforce ramp strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to recruit both hourly manufacturing employees and highly skilled technical talent.
• Strong direct sourcing and passive candidate identification skills.
• Experience recruiting within automotive, aerospace, defense, robotics, technology or advanced manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of ATS, sourcing platforms and modern recruiting technology.
• Comfortable working directly with manufacturing leaders and spending significant time on the production floor.
• High sense of urgency and the ability to manage a large number of simultaneous searches without sacrificing quality.
