Powerus in Rock Hill, SC is seeking a Talent Operations Manager to lead day-to-day people operations for a growing manufacturing facility. This on-site role supports a rapidly expanding hourly workforce and partners with manufacturing leadership to staff shifts, manage timekeeping, and resolve employee issues.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in HR or talent operations in high-volume manufacturing, prior plant launches, and strong knowledge of U.S. employment laws.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day Talent operations for the Rock Hill facility.
• Manage employee relations, attendance, investigations, and performance issues.
• Oversee shift-related people administration including attendance, scheduling support, overtime and absence management.
• Ensure accurate timekeeping, timesheets and payroll inputs.
• Partner with Manufacturing leadership on workforce planning and staffing.
• Support high-volume hiring, onboarding and orientation of production employees.
• Manage temporary labor and staffing agency relationships.
• Coach frontline supervisors on managing people, performance and attendance.
• Track headcount, turnover, absenteeism, overtime and retention.
• Ensure compliance with South Carolina and federal employment requirements.
• Build the Talent processes and operating rhythm required to support a rapidly scaling manufacturing facility.

Powerus develops and manufactures next-generation autonomous systems for defense, national security and critical infrastructure customers.

As we significantly expand our manufacturing operations in Rock Hill, we are building the team and operating infrastructure required to support a rapidly growing production workforce.

The Role

We are looking for a Talent Operations Manager to lead day-to-day people operations for our Rock Hill manufacturing facility.

This is a hands-on, factory-floor role supporting a rapidly growing hourly workforce. You will work closely with manufacturing leadership and supervisors to ensure shifts are staffed, time and attendance are accurate, employee issues are resolved quickly and our workforce can scale alongside production.

We are particularly interested in people who have previously supported a new manufacturing facility, plant launch or rapid workforce ramp, ideally growing an hourly workforce from approximately 100 to 300+ employees.

What You'll Do

• Own day-to-day Talent operations for the Rock Hill facility.
• Manage employee relations, attendance, conduct, investigations, performance issues and corrective actions.
• Own shift-related people administration including attendance, scheduling support, overtime and absence management.
• Ensure accurate timekeeping, timesheets and payroll inputs.
• Partner with Manufacturing leadership on workforce planning and staffing.
• Support high-volume hiring, onboarding and orientation of production employees.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of HR, People or Talent operations experience in manufacturing, automotive, aerospace or another high-volume industrial environment.
• Demonstrable experience supporting a new plant launch, major facility expansion or rapid 100-to-300+ employee workforce ramp.
• Significant experience supporting hourly employees across multiple shifts.
• Strong employee relations and investigation experience.
• Experience with timekeeping, attendance, payroll inputs and shift-based workforce administration.
• Experience with high-volume manufacturing recruitment and onboarding.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. employment law and wage-and-hour requirements.
• Comfortable spending significant time on the manufacturing floor.
• Practical, decisive and comfortable operating in a high-growth environment.

Experience within automotive manufacturing, defense, aerospace or advanced manufacturing would be particularly valuable.

SHRM or PHR certification is helpful but not required.
