Job summary

New Beginnings is seeking an HR Assistant to support recruiting and HR operations. You will coordinate recruitment activities, screen candidates, schedule interviews, and help onboard new hires while assisting with day-to-day HR tasks.

This role works with the HR Manager, handling confidential records, benefits administration, and routine HR transactions. Strong communication and organization are essential to ensure a smooth candidate experience from application to onboarding.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of recruiting, talent acquisition, or HR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate full recruitment process for assigned positions, including posting, screening, and ATS maintenance.
• Source candidates through job boards, social media, referrals, and other channels.
• Screen resumes and conduct initial phone interviews.
• Schedule and coordinate interviews.
• Provide timely updates to candidates and ensure a positive experience.
• Conduct reference checks and assist with offers and screenings.
• Maintain accurate hiring records.
• Participate in job fairs and recruitment events.
