The position is non-exempt, requires occasional travel, and involves building relationships with employers, participants, and community agencies to create employment opportunities.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience.
• Experience: Minimum of two years' experience in business to business sales, staffing, recruiting, or workforce development.
• Skills/Abilities: Proficient with Microsoft Office and able to communicate effectively in writing and speaking; data entry and customer requirements understanding.

Responsibilities

• Initiates and maintains ongoing personal contacts with business and industry representatives and job placement/training agencies.
• Promotes participant placement by making cold calls to potential employers.
• Explains benefits and employment support services to employers and addresses employer needs.
• Researches newspapers, agencies, and resources for job leads; locates jobs for participants who completed training.
• Matches job skills with applicant qualifications and refers qualified applicants to employers.
• Coordinates and attends job fairs to conduct outreach and recruitment activities.
• Provides career information workshops and presentations.
