Job summary

BusPlanner Inc. is seeking a People & Talent Acquisition Director to own recruiting, sourcing, and people operations across the organization. You will lead end-to-end hiring, partner with leadership, and help scale a growing team while enhancing onboarding and compliance processes.

You will build a strong talent pipeline, run proactive outbound/inbound strategies, and own data in Workable. This is a high-ownership role with direct interaction with leadership across Canada and the U.S.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years in HR, people operations, or talent roles, ideally within SaaS, startups, or early-stage companies.
• Experience building HR functions from the ground up.
• Familiarity with Canadian and U.S. labor laws and employee lifecycle best practices.
• Ability to manage a large and varied portfolio of HR responsibilities, including proactive and reactive support.
• Strong communication and presentation skills - comfortable advising leadership.
• HR certifications or relevant continuing education (e.g., CHRP) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the full-cycle hiring process across all functions at BusPlanner.
• Source top talent via LinkedIn and other platforms; conduct candidate screens.
• Coordinate interviews and manage offer letters.
• Develop sourcing strategies with hiring managers to deliver results quickly.
• Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline for current and future needs.
• Support onboarding, performance processes, and compliance.
• Maintain accurate employee data in HRIS (Workable).
• Assist with documentation and internal communication.
