Job description

We are conducting a search for a motivated Talent Acquisition & Development Coordinator for a top-rated law firm in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in human resources, summer school recruiting, attorney recruiting, and/or development.

What You'll Do: Talent Acquisition

  1. Coordinate Talent Acquisition initiatives and activities such as campus, targeted, diversity, and summer associate recruiting programs, including scheduling interviews, follow-up initiatives, hiring committee preparation, prospect outreach, coordination of work assignments, training, and social activities for summer associates, and other related duties.
  2. Monitor the local recruiting budget.
  3. Work closely with Lateral and Staff Talent Acquisition team members to onboard talent.
  4. Collaborate with Talent Acquisition Global team members on firm-wide initiatives and programs.

Talent Development

  1. Coordinate local Talent Development associate relations events and attorney in-house training programs.
  2. Implement firm-wide directives and programs in collaboration with Talent Development Global team, including coaching programs and training academies.
  3. Support and oversee local Performance Management processes, assisting attorneys with performance approvals, reports, and meetings.
  4. Monitor Associate Relations and Professional Development budgets.

Talent Management

  1. Coordinate onboarding of all new hires, including orientation, communication, and integration.
  2. Generate reports and develop recommendations using data and databases.
  3. Work overtime as required, including attending events in the evenings and on weekends.
  4. Travel as needed for programs, activities, and initiatives.
  5. Handle additional related projects as assigned.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree (required).
  • At least 2 years of experience in human resources, law school career services, attorney recruiting, and/or development (preferred).
  • At least 2 years of experience in a professional services or legal environment (required).
  • Advanced proficiency in English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience coordinating training programs and events.
  • Basic knowledge of legal recruiting, attorney development policies, and legal education practices.
  • Understanding of communication principles and practical applications.
