We are conducting a search for a motivated Talent Acquisition & Development Coordinator for a top-rated law firm in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in human resources, summer school recruiting, attorney recruiting, and/or development.
What You'll Do: Talent Acquisition
- Coordinate Talent Acquisition initiatives and activities such as campus, targeted, diversity, and summer associate recruiting programs, including scheduling interviews, follow-up initiatives, hiring committee preparation, prospect outreach, coordination of work assignments, training, and social activities for summer associates, and other related duties.
- Monitor the local recruiting budget.
- Work closely with Lateral and Staff Talent Acquisition team members to onboard talent.
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition Global team members on firm-wide initiatives and programs.
Talent Development
- Coordinate local Talent Development associate relations events and attorney in-house training programs.
- Implement firm-wide directives and programs in collaboration with Talent Development Global team, including coaching programs and training academies.
- Support and oversee local Performance Management processes, assisting attorneys with performance approvals, reports, and meetings.
- Monitor Associate Relations and Professional Development budgets.
Talent Management
- Coordinate onboarding of all new hires, including orientation, communication, and integration.
- Generate reports and develop recommendations using data and databases.
- Work overtime as required, including attending events in the evenings and on weekends.
- Travel as needed for programs, activities, and initiatives.
- Handle additional related projects as assigned.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree (required).
- At least 2 years of experience in human resources, law school career services, attorney recruiting, and/or development (preferred).
- At least 2 years of experience in a professional services or legal environment (required).
- Advanced proficiency in English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience coordinating training programs and events.
- Basic knowledge of legal recruiting, attorney development policies, and legal education practices.
- Understanding of communication principles and practical applications.
