Job summary

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority seeks a Talent Acquisition Coordinator to support end-to-end hiring operations, combining recruiting coordination, scheduling, sourcing, and onboarding success with a focus on a high-quality candidate experience.

You will handle background checks, interview coordination, and data entry across multiple systems, contributing to efficient, compliant recruitment processes and two career events per quarter.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences or equivalent experience.
• Associate’s Degree with two years clerical/administrative experience may substitute for a bachelor’s.
• Minimum 2 years clerical/admin experience may substitute for a degree.

Responsibilities

• Initiate background checks and review background reports; validate credentials.
• Coordinate interview availability with hiring managers and panels; schedule virtual and in-person interviews.
• Draft and post open positions to the ATS and relevant job boards.
• Prepare reports and maintain tracking of background check activities.
• Support Talent Acquisition leadership with projects and initiatives.
• Prepare presentations for team meetings.
• Enter data and update systems (Jobvite, PeopleSoft, TruView, Kronos).
• Attend 2 career or networking events per quarter (1 MTA event).
• Act as onboarding liaison; ensure new-hire readiness during first 30 days.
