Job summary

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority is seeking a Recruiter to source, attract, and hire qualified candidates for the Office of Talent Acquisition in New York, NY. You will manage end-to-end recruitment and partner with hiring managers to deliver timely talent solutions.

Responsibilities include building candidate pipelines, conducting structured interviews, coordinating offers, and ensuring a positive candidate experience.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on experience with full-cycle recruitment.
• Knowledge of sourcing passive talent via LinkedIn, Indeed, and other channels.
• Ability to build talent pipelines across multiple platforms.
• Strong partnership with hiring leaders and stakeholders.
• Excellent written communication and job postings.
• Knowledge of HR databases and ATS/CRM, with Jobvite a plus.
• Time management and ability to prioritize.
• Experience partnering with agency leaders.
• Discretion, integrity, and confidentiality.
• Ability to generate ad-hoc recruitment reports.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes targeted sourcing strategies across LinkedIn, job boards, ATS, referrals, and networks.
• Builds and maintains pipelines across agencies to address staffing needs.
• Leads intake sessions to translate business needs into role criteria.
• Assesses candidate fit and documents decisions in the ATS.
• Prepares candidates for interview panels and coordinates feedback.
• Manages the offer process with compensation and approvals.
• Initiates background checks and medical assessments when applicable.
• Monitors recruitment metrics and partners with cross-functional teams.
• Handles special projects as assigned.
