Job summary

Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) is seeking a Talent Acquisition Coordinator to support end-to-end hiring operations within the People organization at 2 Broadway, New York. The role blends recruiting coordination, scheduling, sourcing, background clearance tracking, and onboarding duties to ensure a smooth candidate experience.

You will collaborate with hiring managers, schedule interviews, post positions, manage background checks, and assist with onboarding for new hires, including

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences or equivalent may be considered.
• Associate's Degree + 2 years clerical experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 2 years of clerical/administrative experience may be required.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and review background checks and reports; follow up on outstanding documents.
• Coordinate interview availability with hiring managers and panels; schedule virtual and in-person interviews.
• Draft and post open positions to the applicant tracking system and relevant job boards.
• Prepare reports and maintain tracking of background check processes.
• Support Talent Acquisition leadership with projects and initiatives.
• Prepare presentations for meetings and events.
• Enter data and update systems (Jobvite, PeopleSoft, TruView, Kronos) per guidelines.
• Attend 2 career or networking events per quarter (1 MTA event).
• Assist onboarding and ensure new-hire readiness during first 30 days.
