Job summary

Capstone Copper Pinto Valley is seeking a Tailings & Water Engineer to support safe operation of the TSF and water systems. You will partner with operations to optimize water use, ensure proper TSF construction, and manage tailings in line with the OMS and regulatory standards.

The role requires a Civil/Geotechnical/Mine Engineering degree and 4+ years in water or tailings engineering; strong communication, planning, and mentorship skills are essential for this hands-on position at our

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Mine Engineering.
• 4+ years in water or tailings engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of TSF design, water systems, and regulatory expectations.

Responsibilities

• Support safe performance of TSF and water systems.
• Plan instrumentation and monitor water performance.
• Prepare water system strategies and tailings deposition plans.
• Review consultant and EoR deliverables; follow up on TSF operations.
• Assist in KPI tracking, forecasts and budgets (Opex/Capex).
• Mentor junior engineers and provide supervisor training.
• Ensure compliance with GISTM, ICMM, and state agencies.
• Maintain safety and Capstone values in all tasks.
