Job summary

Capstone Copper is seeking a Sr. Supervisor – Tailings & Water to lead TSF and site water management. You will supervise employees and contractors, coordinate resources, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance while meeting operational targets.

The role requires 5+ years in mining or heavy industry supervision, strong knowledge of tailings systems, and ability to work across Engineering, Maintenance, Processing, and HSEC. A valid driver’s license and fluency in English are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory/leadership experience in mining or heavy industrial environments.
• Experience supervising employees and contractors in field-based settings.
• Strong knowledge of tailings operations, TSFs, water management systems, pumps, pipelines, ponds, reclaim systems.
• Ability to coordinate and execute operational plans with manpower, equipment, and contractors.
• Strong cross-functional communication across Processing, Maintenance, Engineering, Planning, HSEC, and other departments.
• Ability to manage budgets, cost control, and performance reporting.
• Valid Driver's License and ability to read/write English.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily Tailings Storage Facility (TSF) and water management activities.
• Direct tailings deposition and TSF operations to meet targets and plans.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, maintenance, and contractor resources.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, MSHA regulations, and procedures.
• Develop and monitor KPIs; drive safety, reliability, and efficiency improvements.
• Manage field teams and provide training, performance feedback, and development.
• Collaborate with multiple departments to align operational plans and budgets.
• Oversee incident reporting and implement corrective actions.
