Easterns Automotive Group in Sterling, VA is seeking a detail-oriented Automotive Tag & Title Clerk to ensure accurate titling and smooth processing with local DMVs. You will manage tag and title documents and liaise with customers and dealerships to keep transactions compliant and timely.

The role requires sharp organization, reliability, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced dealership environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as an Automotive Title Clerk or DMV Clerk.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to multitask.
• Thrives in a fast-paced high-volume dealership environment.
• Integrity and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and handle all aspects of tag and title documentation, ensuring seamless titling transactions both locally and out-of-state.
• Process titling documents using electronic vehicle registration systems and liaise with DMV offices.
• Track and post all titling operations and monitor related schedules.
• Calculate and process customer refunds when necessary.
• Assist with miscellaneous tag & title tasks as needed.
• Engage with customers and vendors professionally to uphold the dealership's reputation.
• Conduct inventory control and audits.
• Stay updated with changes in applicable laws and regulations.
• Payoff vehicle trades/track trade titles/wholesale
