Job summary

Iberdrola SA in Rockland, ME is seeking a Trouble Shooter 1/C T&D to safely perform transmission and distribution pole line work, climb poles, install crossarms and related equipment, and manage energized lines according to safety standards. This role requires readiness for emergency duty and supervision of junior staff.

The successful candidate will hold a qualified Line Worker 1/C status, a valid Class A license (or prior Class B with a clean driving record), and compliance with the company

Qualifications

• Must be a qualified Line Worker 1/C.
• Must have a valid Class A driver's license unless you were a Lineworker with a Class B license prior to 7/1/2009 and have a good driving record.
• Subject to company random drug and alcohol testing policy.
• Must comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
• Must reside within 45 minutes of the regular reporting location or be willing to relocate within nine months of transfer.
• Must be capable of performing all the essential functions of the classification.

Responsibilities

• Safely performs all types of transmission and distribution pole line work including climbing poles, installing crossarms, pins, insulators, wires and cables, transformers, cutouts, lightning arrestors and related equipment.
• Works on energized lines and equipment in accordance with company standards and safety regulations.
• Assumes responsibility of emergency duty with supervision and directs activities of lower rated workers; shares standby requirements.
• Prepares and keeps necessary records and performs other assigned work.
• Shares standby requirements of the area.
