CENTRAL MAINE POWER CO in Maine is seeking a Trouble Shooter 1/C T&D to perform transmission and distribution pole line work. This role involves climbing poles, installing crossarms, transformers, and related equipment, including energized lines, under safety regulations.

Responsibilities include standby duties, emergency responses, and maintaining records. Candidates must be a qualified Line Worker 1/C, hold a Class A license, and be willing to relocate within nine months; compliance with

Qualifications

Must be a qualified Line Worker 1/C.
Must have a valid Class A driver’s license (or prior Class B with transition before 7/1/2009).
Good record of safe driving and compliance with safety policies.
Subject to random drug and alcohol testing policy.
Must reside within 45 minutes of the reporting location or relocate within nine months.
Able to perform all essential functions of the classification.

Responsibilities

Safely performs transmission and distribution pole line work, including climbing poles and installing crossarms, pins, insulators, wires, transformers, cutouts, lightning arrestors and related equipment.
Works on energized lines and equipment per Standards and Safety Regulations.
Assumes emergency duty with minimal supervision and directs lower rated workers.
Prepares and keeps necessary records and performs assigned tasks.
Shares standby requirements of the area.
