Central Maine Power Co. in Rockland, ME is seeking a Trouble Shooter 1/C T&D to perform transmission and distribution pole line work, climb poles, install or maintain crossarms, insulators, wires, transformers, and related equipment.

The role requires a valid Class A CDL (or prior Lineworker with Class B), the ability to perform in energized environments, and readiness for emergency standby duties. Located in ME, this position offers competitive benefits and professional growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Must be a qualified Line Worker 1/C.
  • Must have a valid Class A driver's license unless you were a Lineworker with a Class B driver’s license prior to 7/1/2009, and a good record of safe driving.
  • Subject to the Company random drug and alcohol testing policy.
  • Must reside within 45 minutes of their regular reporting location or be willing to relocate within nine months of transfer and be available for emergency assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Safely performs transmission and distribution pole line work, including climbing poles and installing or maintaining equipment.
  • Works on energized lines in accordance with safety standards.
  • Assumes responsibility of emergency duty with minimal supervision and directs activities of lower rated workers.
  • Prepares and keeps necessary records and performs other assigned work.
