Job summary

Central Maine Power Co. is seeking a Line Trouble Shooter to perform transmission and distribution pole line work at the Alfred service site in Maine.

The role includes climbing poles, installing crossarms, insulators, wires, transformers, and related equipment on energized lines in accordance with safety standards. The position requires vocational electrical training, a Class A license (or former Class B), and residence within 45 minutes of the reporting location or willingness to relocate

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an approved vocational school, institute, or college with electrical/line worker training or equivalent experience.
  • Must have a valid Class A driver’s license (or prior Class B) and a safe driving record.
  • Residence within 45 minutes of reporting location or willing to relocate within nine months; available for emergency assignments.

Sharing the standby requirements of the area.* Prepares and keeps such records as may be necessary and performs other appropriate work as may be assigned.***Skills and Requirements**** Must be a graduate of an approved vocational school, institute, or college with acceptable grades majoring in electrical and line worker training or have previous experience in line work.
