Job summary

Central Maine Power Co. is seeking a Line Trouble Shooter 1/C T&D (34 kV Rubber Glove Rated) in Alfred, ME with an hourly rate of $56.65. The role involves climbing poles, installing equipment, and performing energized line work in compliance with safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Must graduate of an approved vocational school, institute, or college with acceptable grades majoring in electrical and line worker training or have previous experience in line work.

Responsibilities

• Safely performs all types of transmission and distribution pole line work, including climbing poles, installing or maintaining crossarms, pins, insulators, wires and cable, transformers, cutouts, lightning arrestors and related equipment.
• Works on energized lines and equipment in accordance with Company’s Distribution and/or Transmission Standards and Safety Regulations.
• Assumes the responsibility of emergency duty with a minimum of supervision and directs the activities of lower rated workers.
• Sharing the standby requirements of the area.
• Prepares and keeps such records as may be necessary and performs other appropriate work as may be assigned.
