Job summary

Irby Construction, a subsidiary of Quanta Services, is seeking a Project Manager to oversee Transmission and Distribution construction projects from initiation to closeout. You will lead teams, manage budgets and schedules, and serve as the liaison between clients, field operations, and corporate support.

The role requires at least 3 years in powerline or electrical utility construction, strong OSHA knowledge, and proficiency with Primavera P6, MS Project, and Excel.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in powerline or electrical utility construction.
• Proven experience managing multiple crews and subcontractors in T&D or similar environments.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and manage all aspects of assigned projects, including cost control, scheduling, materials, and manpower.
• Oversee project execution from pre-construction through completion with safety, quality, and productivity focus.
• Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent.
• Track budgets, forecast costs, and ensure adherence to financial goals.
• Manage subcontractors and suppliers, including procurement, contracts, and performance evaluation.
• Coordinate with clients, inspectors, and stakeholders to maintain project alignment and resolve issues.
• Prepare and submit detailed progress reports, RFIs, submittals, change orders, invoices, and closeout documentation.
• Lead project meetings and document decisions, action items, and milestones.
