Job summary

Michels Power, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager - Transmission & Distribution to lead complex utility infrastructure projects from pursuit through closeout. You will manage scope, schedule, budget, safety, quality, and client satisfaction.

This on-site, full-time Minnesota role requires 1–7+ years of experience in transmission, distribution, or electrical infrastructure, with travel. You’ll lead multiple project teams to deliver on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• 1–7+ years of experience in construction project management within transmission, distribution, utility, or electrical infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience managing project scope, cost, schedule, and field execution.
• Strong knowledge of T&D construction methods, sequencing, and project delivery.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with project management / scheduling software (Primavera P6, HCSS, MS Project, or similar).
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects through estimating, bidding, execution, and closeout phases.
• Manage transmission, distribution, and substation construction activities.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Oversee subcontractors, suppliers, field leadership, and internal project teams.
• Develop and maintain strong client and utility relationships.
• Track and manage project costs, forecasts, schedules, and performance metrics.
• Support project planning for transmission line construction, distribution upgrades, and substation scopes.
