Job summary
Valley Health System seeks a Professional Development Specialist to design, standardize, and evaluate system-wide educational strategies and competency frameworks. You will partner with leaders, educators, and frontline staff to translate priorities into scalable learning solutions that enhance clinical quality and staff readiness.
The role focuses on onboarding standardization, competency validation, and professional development while reducing onboarding inefficiencies, turnover, and regulatory
Qualifications
- Master's degree in nursing or related field.
- 5 years of recent clinical, educational, or nursing leadership experience required.
- 3+ years of NPD or nursing education experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- System Education Strategy, Governance, and Design to ensure standardized models and regulatory compliance.
- Program Development and Standardization of onboarding, transition to practice, and leadership development programs.
- Competency Management & Practice Alignment for system-level oversight of competency programs.
- Quality Outcomes, Measurement, and Continuous Learning using KPIs and dashboards.
- Professional Leadership & Role Development in advanced NPD roles and governance involvement.
