Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a Systems Test Engineer Level 2/3 for development and support of propulsion and power generation systems for the US Navy. This full-time, onsite role may involve up to 30% travel for reviews and testing.

You will perform analyses, develop test plans, and execute tests across multiple projects, with a requirement for a Secret clearance. Relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 2+ years of relevant work experience, OR Master’s degree with 0+ years of experience.
• Exposure to test plans and procedures for mechanical systems.
• Experience participating in test meetings.
• Exposure to test reports and requirement verification.
• Proficient with MS Office.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional analysis, scheduling analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation/verification, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into test requirements and test plans.
• Conduct system integration, installation, test, operation, maintenance, and disposal activities.
• Develop test system architecture, write test plans and procedures, and execute testing in accordance with these plans.
• Communicate test results and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
• Maintain the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, balancing priorities and deadlines.
