Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Test Engineer Level 2/3 for Sunnyvale, CA. You will support 24/7 system-level tests of turbine-generators and gear-driven propulsion units, integrating data-acquisition systems, programming automation routines, and writing procedures and reports. The role requires working 12.5-hour shifts with 30–70% night shift, and travel about 10%.

U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in STEM with relevant experience as stated.
• Ability to interpret basic circuit diagrams and use benchtop instruments.
• Willingness to work night shifts 30–70% and at field sites as needed.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform system-level tests of turbine-generators and gear-driven propulsion units.
• Integrate data-acquisition systems and program automation routines.
• Acquire and analyze data, control test conduct, and write procedures/reports.
• Support 12.5-hour shift campaigns and contribute to multi-month testing efforts.
