Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a Systems Technician to provide installation, maintenance and troubleshooting support for information systems and hardware in a high-security environment.

The role requires 5+ years of related experience, an Associates degree, and active DoD Information Assurance Certification (CompTIA Security+ CE minimum). Expect a 12-hour shift schedule from 5 PM to 5 AM, onsite in the Springfield area, with potential weekend coverage.

Responsibilities

• Provide installation, maintenance and troubleshooting support of information systems applications and related peripheral hardware.
• Unix and Windows hardware support; troubleshoot and diagnose inquiries related to personal computers and related systems.
• Install and upgrade computers, printers, scanners, phones and other hardware.
• Conduct back-end device configuration, manage security settings and protocols.
• Coordinate deployment of deliverables and products.
• Participate in administration of multiple critical network systems.
• Track project studies, plans and action items.
