Job summary

Our client in Fort Belvoir, VA seeks a Sr. Network/System Technician to support network operations and IT help desk duties on a 12-hour shift cycle (0600–1800 or 1800–0600 ET), Sun-Tue or Thu-Sat with every other Wednesday.

Requires active TS/SCI and Security+ certifications, plus BS with 8–12 years (or MS with 6–10 years). Candidate must understand TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, and network protocols and be proficient with monitoring tools like SolarWinds, Nagios, or Splunk.

Qualifications

• BS degree with 8–12 years of relevant experience or MS with 6–10 years in network operations or IT support.
• Active TS/SCI clearance and Security+ (or equivalent) required before start.
• Proficient in TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, and network protocols.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, or Splunk.
• Excellent oral and written communication for procedures and updates.
• Able to work 12-hour shifts in a high-availability environment.
