Generac Power Systems in Oshkosh, WI is seeking a Systems Support Specialist II to provide technical support for desktops, laptops, phones, peripherals, and related software. You will collaborate with System Matter Experts for advanced issues and assist with software training and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment.

On-site role with opportunity to support IT across data, voice and video services, including server hardware and network infrastructure.

Qualifications

Associate degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
2 years of experience troubleshooting PC’s, printers, phone and network issues.
Preferred Bachelor's degree and multiple IT certifications listed in the ad.
Experience with Windows Server and Linux OS is expected.

Responsabilités

Provide hands-on support by installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading laptops, desktops, phones, printers, bar code scanners and peripherals.
Support higher level specialists with server hardware, OS, network infrastructure and telephony.
Triage, document and close incidents with proper escalation when needed to reduce downtime.
Create documentation on issues, root cause analysis and troubleshooting steps.
Assist with implementation of business systems and manufacturing initiatives.
Perform system upgrades and migrations; follow operational standards for reporting and troubleshooting.
Participate in Tier 1 call/ticket queue as necessary.
Maintain asset inventory and ensure configurations meet IT policies and security parameters.
Consult with IT personnel to diagnose and resolve system or networking issues.
Develop, implement, and manage policies and standards across data, voice and video platforms.
